The Complete Permanent Makeup Process From Design To Healed
A Healthy Lip Tint To Brighten The Whole Face
The first part of the permanent makeup process is to understand the clients needs. This lady has naturally quite small lips, she wanted them to look fuller, to crisp up the shape and add a permanent sparkle of her favourite lip gloss colour. Her lower lip is much smaller than her upper lip so as you can see in the pre-drawing (below) I have rebalanced the lips to not only add symmetry but to volumise. This was all done without going outside the clients natural vermillion border.
The Client Gets A Full Preview Before Any Treatment Takes Place.
This is the second part of the permanent makeup process. Before every procedure the new shape and style is pre-drawn for the client so she can see what to expect from her permanent make up.
Permanent Lip Colour a Process Not a Procedure
The colour is always implanted over two sessions, the first session is intentionally a little too light, and the second session goes darker if the client prefers. Regardless of the pigment implanted most lips will look red immediately after tattooing. This is because the blood and lymph come up to the surface of the skin, however this only lasts for 3 to 5 days and is no reflection of the colour that it will heal to.
Healed Lips – Just Add Gloss
Here is the healed result with only Vaseline to add shine and moisturise. This is after only 1 session so the colour will be intensified slightly in 5 weeks. The colour will fade gradually over the years and the client can come back for a colour booster every year or two. This is subtle enough permanent colour that the client can still wear bright lipsticks over the top if she has a special occasion. Over the years she can change the permanent colour or simply have the same colour again. The client is absolutely over the moon with her new lip shape and colour and in fact she has had her eyebrows done since and is awaiting a slot for upper eyeliner too. 🙂
