My Own Permanent Makeup Lip Story
Why Lips Are One Of My Favourite Procedures
As you can see in the before picture below, my bottom lip was absolutely huge and my upper lip was much thinner and slightly asymmetric. I always found that when I smiled my upper lip almost disappeared. I tried dermal filler 3 years previously in the upper lip only, but really I did not like the lumpy feel and I felt it looked quite unnatural.
I wanted my upper and lower lips to be in proportion with each other.

Completely Comfortable Procedure
I applied a topical anesthetic 20 minutes before the lip procedure. This stops the lips from bleeding, bruising and swelling. The only part of the treatment I found uncomfortable (a bit Nippy) was the first pass across the cupids bow, however this only lasted 5 seconds and the rest was literally pain free.
Loving My New Lip Shape
These are now my dream lips, ironed out any asymmetries, re-proportioned the upper and lower lip volume and applied my favourite lip gloss tint permanently.
Although the lip colour looks very red immediately after treatment, within 4 or 5 days the colour will soften by around 70% turning translucent and I can just wear Vaseline to moisturise and add shine. The colour will fade gradually over the years and I will retouch the colour every year or two.
Bright Colour Exfoliates Away Revealing A Much Softer And More Natural Colour Change
This is still not the end result. The healing process takes a while for the colour to settle. This colour is still a little red from the initial procedure. The colour will turn into a coral nude colour over the next 21 days. In the picture above I am only wearing vitamin A&D cream aftercare which is completely clear.
Colour develops stronger as the lip tissue is healing and repairing underneath
