Permanent Lip Colour vs Dermal Lip Filler
Can Permanent Lip Colour Really Make The Lips Look Fuller?
I have so many ladies who come in wanting lip augmentation to have the lips look fuller but once they have permanent lip colour they feel they no longer need dermal filler.
From the age of 21 the natural lip colour drains away from the vermillion border making the lip look thinner and paler.
By Matching colour back up to the natural vermillion border, perfecting and crisping up the natural shape and adding a healthy blush of colour can really increase the volume of the lip.

Realistic Expectations About Permanent Lip Procedures
See the dramatic difference below of how the natural lip can be perfected with colour? ( ‘All dermal fillers can induce serious and potentially long-lasting adverse effects,’ says Dr Erin Gilbert, a professor of dermatology at the State University of New York. (Above) These are my own lips, before and after permanent make up
4 years ago I had dermal fillers to one side of my upper lip to even out the asymmetries. I did not like the result as I felt it was lumpy and did not look natural. Luckily the dermal filler I had broke down in 6 months and I got the result I wanted with permanent makeup instead.
I Do Not Recommend Tattooing Outside The Natural Lip Border
I would never recommend going far out of the vermillion border on to skin with permanent make up as the colour heals completely different on lip tissue as it does on skin.
