This 17 year old came to me for a consultation with her mother who is a permanent make up client of mine. From the age of 4 or 5 she has always had a problem with her lip shape. When she was a young girl she used to always carry a lipstick around with her in her pocket and it has bothered her for as long as she can remember. This is a mock up of an optical illusion design i can create for her permanently.

Using a range of 3 graduated lip colours I can create a roiling colour effect which is used widely in the makeup industry to create a volume illusion. I very rarely ever go out of the clients natural vermillion border but in this case I had to as the upper lip was much smaller than her bottom lip.

I unfortunately couldn’t work on this young lady at the time as she was a few months under the age of the tattoo laws but she is so excited with the mock up of the design and is literally counting down the days till her 18th birthday.

Although the colour looks very bright in the mock up it will actually fade by around 70% to a translucent tint which will be undetectable that she had anything done. She will only need to use a Vaseline or gloss to add a little sparkle to her new lip shape and can still wear a stronger lip colour over the top if she feels like it.

I’m so excited for this girl. I will update once i have carried out the procedure.
